Program Description

You'll be taken on a journey through the beautiful Taurus Mountains and will get impressed by varying Turkish landscapes. Arriving at Pamukkale we will stop at a viewpoint where you’ll have a superb panoramic view of the world famous travertines to take great memorable photos. Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish and when you take the first look at the snowy-white terraces you’ll understand why. It’s an unforgettable moment looking at this breathtaking wonder of nature, where natural hot springs have been solidified into stalagtites and cliffs of amazing beauty. Pamukkales’ travertines are unique in the world. Pamukkale is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO since 1988. Take off your shoes and take a walk through this wonderland of basins filled with warm clear water and admire the scenery. After discovering the terraces you willl enter the ancient city of Hierapolis which is nearby. Learn something about the multifarious and interesting history during its Byzantine and Roman periods on the guided tour and later discover it on you own or take the chance and bathe in the ancient main thermal pool.
