Program Description

Kos is an island where ancient Greek history meets local traditions, picturesque landscapes, and authentic flavours. During this full-day excursion, you will discover the most beautiful corners of the island of Hippocrates - from ancient landmarks and mountain villages to places connected with local craftsmanship and Greek culture.

The tour begins in Kos Town, where a walk through the historic centre will allow you to experience the atmosphere of one of the island’s most important towns. You will explore charming streets, lively squares, and the famous Tree of Hippocrates, where, according to legend, the father of medicine taught his students. It is a perfect opportunity to discover the island’s fascinating history and unique heritage.

You will then visit the Asklepion - the most important archaeological site on Kos and one of the greatest healing centres of the ancient world. Dedicated to Asklepios, the god of medicine, this remarkable site offers a journey back to the times of Ancient Greece. In addition to its historical significance, the Asklepion also impresses with beautiful panoramic views over the surrounding landscape.

The next stop will be a visit to a traditional olive oil factory, where you will learn more about the production of one of Greece’s most iconic products. During the visit, you will discover local traditions and enjoy a tasting of regional olive oils and Greek delicacies.

The excursion also takes you to Zia, a picturesque mountain village considered one of the most beautiful places on the island of Kos. You will have free time to stroll through its charming streets, browse local shops, or enjoy lunch in a traditional taverna. The village is also famous for its spectacular panoramic views over the island and the Aegean Sea.

The journey continues to the traditional village of Antimachia, where you will see a historic windmill - one of the symbols of the island’s rural heritage. This stop offers a glimpse into the authentic side of life on Kos.

Finally, you will head to the Kefalos area to visit a local honey workshop. You will learn about traditional beekeeping methods, taste local honey products, and admire one of the most beautiful panoramic views over the Kefalos coastline and the Aegean Sea.

This excursion is the perfect combination of history, Greek culture, local flavours, and breathtaking scenery, allowing you to discover the authentic spirit of Kos.
