Program Description

Discover the most beautiful corners of northern Lesvos on a tour that combines stunning landscapes, local culture and centuries-old heritage. This is a day filled with picturesque scenery, traditional Greek villages and fascinating places that have shaped the island’s history for generations.

After hotel pick-up, you will travel to Kalloni Bay, one of the most distinctive natural areas on Lesvos. Surrounded by beautiful coastal landscapes, the bay is also home to the island’s traditional salt pans, which have played an important role in the local economy for centuries. Along the way, you may also spot the famous flamingos that regularly visit the area.

Next, you will visit Limonas Monastery, one of the island’s most important religious sites. Founded in the 16th century, the monastery impresses with its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture. You will explore its chapels and museum, which houses valuable manuscripts, icons and artefacts linked to the history of Orthodox Christianity on Lesvos. There will also be time to relax with a coffee at the local café.

The journey continues to Molyvos, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Greece. Its stone-built houses, narrow cobbled streets and traditional character create a truly enchanting atmosphere. Near the medieval castle, you will enjoy spectacular views across the Aegean Sea and the surrounding coastline - a perfect opportunity for memorable photographs.

Your final stop will be Petra, a charming seaside village famous for the church of Panagia Glikofilousa. Perched on top of a striking rock formation, the church can be reached by climbing 114 steps. The effort is well rewarded with breathtaking views of the village, coastline and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean.
