Program Description
Barcelona has many sides, and one of its most fascinating is its art scene. A single pass gives you access to six renowned museums and cultural institutions, allowing you to see works by Picasso, Miró and Tàpies while exploring both the classical and contemporary sides of Catalan art.
One of the venues included in the pass is the Fundació Joan Miró, dedicated to the work of one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Joan Miró was a painter, sculptor and printmaker whose style was defined by vivid colours, abstract forms and distinctive symbols. His work combined influences of Surrealism with a highly individual artistic language.
The foundation houses thousands of his works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and textiles, offering an insight into how Miró’s style developed throughout his career. Another highlight is the sculpture garden, where his art can be viewed in an open-air setting.
The foundation’s building was designed by Josep Lluís Sert, a renowned architect and friend of the artist. Bright interiors, open spaces and terraces were created to complement Miró’s work and bring art and architecture together as a coherent whole.
The pass also includes admission to Museu Picasso de Barcelona, Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and Fundació Antoni Tàpies. It is a convenient way to explore different periods, artistic movements and influential figures that have shaped Barcelona’s cultural identity.
The pass provides fast-track access to six museums and remains valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you the freedom to plan your visits at your own pace.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
